We carried out a qualitative, preliminary study with the objective of interviewing children and the parents of children who have been submitted to cancer treatment. We inquired into the meaning that they attribute to their child's and their own experience with the treatment. The main question asked was 'How is your child doing since he or she was cured and is free from the treatment?'; the answers indicated matters related to psychosocial problems.
